about
The new track Outer Space was composed and recorded in San Francisco during the band's tour in June. It was the first trip ever to the US for the band. The mood there was a mix of excitation, euphoria and studious concentration.
One night Marine stayed up late hooked up by a song beginning she couldn't stop working on till morning. There came Outer Space, a joyful and naïve story on the alchemy of love and its fusion at a molecular level ! Weird right ?
The song is powered by a really thick acoustic guitar rhythmic that becomes one with the drums hithat, like a constant flow of molecules flowing through space !
It was the first time the band could spend some time writing in the studio, testing new stuff, not being rushed by the hours. The dynamic born from those few days in their adventure as a rock band clearly springs from the track : a sense of constant move forward, lightness, and craving for eternal love.
lyrics
I can remember what it feels like
I picture you in my mind
You were so shy but self-confident
That turned my head upside down
The lights were shining all over your face
And time had slowed down until being relative
The stars fell down and now we have each other
Would you be all mine tonight
Can I be all yours for while
Would you take my hand all night
We could be together
Now let’s just have each other
We were just atoms now molecules
Escaping into the air
We don’t know yet how it will end up
But we'll eventually spin together in outer space
The lights were shining all over your face
And time had slowed down until being relative
The stars fell down and now we have each other
Would you be all mine tonight
Can I be all yours for a while
Would you take my hand all night
We could be together
Now let’s just have each other
